Looks good........but not worth the money May 4, 2007 Reviewer:  M. Oberoi Real Name See all my reviews >

We purchased this Hot Wheels Kick Scooter for our 5 year old (he's BIG on Hot Wheels right now), but we're very disappointed with it's quality. The handlebar broke for the second time in less than 3 months and now I have to take it back for a new one! It's definitely easy to assesmble, but the quality is very poor and I won't buy another one in the future unless they improve on the construction. I would recommend the Razor scooter instead.

not worth it December 12, 2009 Reviewer:  mom3ga (GA)  See all my reviews >

I bought this scooter for my sons 8th birthday. The locking lever broke before he rode the scooter. I returned it to Target and got an identical one. After getting it home, my husband took it out of the box. He went to unfold it and the locking lever immediately broke. We could have overlooked it the first time as an accidental defect, But not the 2nd time. Do not waste your money or risk your childs safety. We are returning the scooter for a brand we know and trust, Razor.

Not Safe! August 20, 2009 Reviewer:  twin mama (OKC, OK)  See all my reviews >

Got this for my son's 6th birthday. It broke the next day. Screws were rattling around inside. Couldn't get to them to try fixing it. He's only 55lbs and only got to ride it in the house before it collapsed. Returned it for a Razor.

Simple fix April 14, 2009 Reviewer:  Upset dad at little tikes "David" (Mesa, Arizona)  See all my reviews >

When you assemble this scooter use lock-tite. This will make it to where the screws/bolts will not fall out unless you actually remove them with tools. You should always use lock-tite on all things that you assemble to make sure your kids are safe. Due to anything can and will fall apart due to vibrations cause there isnt any shocks to keep from being rigid. The reason of the Razor scooter not falling out is they use lock-tite and lock washers. You can buy lock-tite at your local auto parts store and most other stores and runs around $2-$5. Beleive me this will stop it and if you want lock washers Home Depot or Lowes have them. Take in your screws bolts and nuts that came with it and they can help match it up for you for about 3-15 cents each.

Lasted 3 years; screw fell out May 10, 2008 Reviewer:  Julie C. Dawson Real Name (Cornwall, UK)  See all my reviews >

This scooter lasted us 3 years of very light use and as soon as my 7 year old started riding it more regularly, the screw where it folds fell out (similar to another reviewer's experience). Could be a flaw.

don't buy this scooter December 10, 2007 Reviewer:  scooter fried "Sandy L" (Brooklyn, NY USA)  See all my reviews >

I originallly bought this scooter at a Target in Florida for my son's birthday. It looked bright and colorful and he was a race car fan. After he used it twice, the screw fell out where you fold it. I came back to New York and he used it once again and almost broke his leg when the screw suddenly fell out. I thought it was just defective. I took it back to the Brooklyn Target to exchange for another one. After two weeks, the nut and bolts once again came flying off. I am done with this brand. The manufacturer needs to find a way to make it without loose parts. It takes forever to fold it up and down and is a harzard to small kids. Don't buy it. Go with the razor brand which is made much better.
